Big Beef Music Review

By Tim

Listen to Jazz to the WorldIt is not to early to be thinking about New Year's Eve and the music you may want to listen to at your bash. So instead of letting you pull out Prince, I have dug deep into my CD pile and found the latest album by Orgy. The album is named Candyass (CA) and although it had been supplanted by Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, and, etc., for the holidays, it has been recovered from benath the layer of dust covering it and is as good as new.

CA is a techno/rave album. The music has a great beat and a lot of distorted guitar riffs and keyboards. The lyrics are very clear and understandable. Always a plus, the CD jacket contains the lyrics (that is, if you want to sing them). The album is very danceable, especially track 7, Blue Monday (originally done by New Order circa 1982 G). I have heard Blue Monday played by a number of local bands and it is awesome for dancing. Mix in a little stroblite... To listen to the tracks from this album visit the audio section of the Orgy websight (orgy audio). The websight is about average for the ones that I have viewed. The site contains an Orgy store, audio, bio's, other Orgy links (First band I have seen link to other sites.), and pictures. I recommend it if you are a true Orgy fan or interested in listening to the tracks prior to buying the album.

Overall I rate this album three BB &B's. Blue Monday, the only song you may have heard on the radio, is the best song by far and almost worth buying the album to have in your collection. But the rest of the album, although good music, kind of just runs together.

This album is available at CD Now for $12.99.

Ranking:   out of 5 BB&B's.
